
was born in Sofia, Bulgaria, where she studied at the National Music Academy. Additionally she also studied and in Rome. She has also worked with Prof. Anita Cirquetti in Rome. Since 2002 Nadia is a soloist at the Vienna State Opera singing roles such as Fenena, Emilia in Otello, Ulrica, Leonor de Guzman in La Favorita, Carmen, Meg Page, Adalgisa, Maria Gesualdo and Giulietta in Les contes d’Hoffmann amongst others. Guest engagements have taken her to the Deutsche Oper Berlin for Ulrica and Preziosilla, to Essen and St. Gallen for Adalgisa and Preziosilla and Zurich for Marina (Boris Godunov).
Nadia is strongly assosiated with the role Carmen, which she sang already at the the Open-Air Festival in St. Margareten, the Riga Opera Festival, the Savonlinna Opera Festival as well as at the Vienna State Opera, in Graz Opera, De Nederlandse Opera in Amsterdam, at the Bolshoi Opera in Moscow, at the Chicago Lyric Opera and at Deutsche Oper Berlin. Other upcoming roles include Sara in Roberto Devereux and Eboli in Munich and Berlin State Operas.
Nadia has performed with many distinguished singers such as Neil Shikoff, Edita Gruberova, Agnes Baltsa and Placido Domingo and under the baton of Seiji Ozawa, Marco Viotti, Fabio Luisi, Stefan Soltezs and Daniele Gatti.
