OLGA MYKYTENKO

won the first prize in the Maria Callas International Singing Competition in Athens (1997), the Francisco Vinas Competition in Barcelona (1997) and the Queen Sonja Competition in Oslo (2003). Olga is known as a strong interpreter of many lirico spinto and coloratura roles who never leaves her audience cold. Since 2001 she has frequently been invited to many leading European opera houses to perform such major roles as Violetta, Lucia, Liù, Gilda, Micaela and Mimì. In January 2006 she  debuted in the role Tatyana in Lyon and gave her MET debut as  Lauretta in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi conducted by maestro James Levine in 2007. She recently made a house debut at the Deutsche Oper Berlin as Nedda and Amalia in Verdi's I Masnadieri at the Frankfurt Opera. In Hamburg she was seen next in the roles Violetta and Mimì and in Santiago di Chile as Liù. In Cologne she was invited to sing Violetta and in Stockholm she will return as Gilda. At the Théatre du Capitole in Toulouse she will sing the role of Mimì and at the Liceu theatre in Barcelona she will interpret again Nedda.
