
Born in the Basque country, Maud Darizcuren was a prize winner at numerous competitions including the 2nd prize and the Best French Artist prize at the Concours International de Chant in Marmande (2007).
From 2000 to 2005 she was engaged at the Théâtre de Rungis where she appeared in the roles of Manon in Manon by Jules Massenet, Violetta in La Traviata by Giuseppe Verdi, Antonia and Giulietta in Hoffmanns Erzählungen by Jacques Offenbach and Tatjana in Eugen Onegin.
During the 2007/2008 season she was invited to become a member of the CNIPAL opera studio in Marseille where she had the opportunity to work with Rolando Villazon, Tom Krause, Yvonne Minton and Michel Plasson. She added Nedda in Pagliacci by Leoncavallo, Liù in Puccini’s Turandot, Salome in Hérodiade by Massenet as well as Mimì in La Bohème by Puccini to her repertoire.
Her recent engagements include Sharon in Master Class Maria Callas, the Voice Lesson at the Théâtre de Paris, and Madame Lidoine in Dialogues des Carmelites in Innsbruck.
