PETYA IVANOVA

The coloratura soprano Petya Ivanova made her opera debut at the National Opera in Sofia, where she sang among others Rosina, Lucia, Gilda and Oscar. Since 2002 she is a member of the the National Theatre in Maribor, Slovenia, where she interpreted the Queen of the Night, Cunegonde, Nanetta and Olympia. Petya's career as a concert and opera singer has brought her to in many countries such as France, Belgium, Italy, Bulgaria, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Slovenia and Finland. She sang the role Zerlina in the Split Opera Festival, and made her debut as Lakmé at the Maribor National Theatre and Sofia State Opera. She recently sang Gilda in Klagenfurt Theatre in Austria and the Queen of the Night at the Hamburg State Opera, Vienna Volksopera and Vienna State Opera. She also returned  to the Essen Opera House for the role Lucia and Elvira (I puritani) and sang Lucia in Insbruck. Her future engagements include Rosina in St. Gallen and Violetta at the National Reiseoper in Holland amongst others.
