Biography

After her music studies in Yerevan State Conservatory in Yerevan and Young Artists Program at the Academic Opera and Ballet Theater of Armenia, young mezzo-soprano Bella Amaryan made her stage debut in 2021 at the Armenian National Opera as Dalila in a semi-staged performance of Samson et Dalila.

At the Musical and Comedy Theatre Paronyan Bella performed Anita West Side Story as well as the role of the Clown in the opera King on the Square by Vache Sharafyan, which later toured at the Festival Teatro Nudo in Milan.

In 2022 Bella debuted as Emilia in Otello in a concert performance with the Armenian National Philharmonic
Orchestra, led by maestro Eduard Topchian. Her debut as Carmen took place in 2024 at the Armenian National Opera, under the baton of Karen Durgaryan as well as her next role debut as Suzuki in Puccini’s Madame Butterfly in 2025.

In spring 2026 Bella appeared at the Al Bustan International Festival in Beirut, Lebanon, performing the role of Zita in Giacomo Puccini’s opera Gianni Schicchi alongside with Sir Bryn Terfel in the title role. Maestro Gianluca Marcianò, who conducted the production, also invited her to sing in Haydn’s Nelson-Mass in „Mystery Easter Festival“ of Taranto, Italy. Recently Bella was awarded a title „Young Singer of the Year 2025“ of the CIS countries.

As a concert soloist Bella Amaryan has sung among others in the Christmas oratorio by Camille Saint-Saens and in Beethoven's 9th symphony at the opening of the Yerevan Music Festival with the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by maestro Eduard Topchian.

Now Bella is looking forward to sing the part Olga in Tchaikovsky’s Eugen Onegin in September 2026 in Armenian National Opera.
